One of my favorite features of Advanced GET is bar replay mode. For more detailed information on this tool, see this KnowledgeBase article.
Looking back at the history of a market is useful. When you spot what was a valid trade, replay it again and again in bar replay mode. Observe how the market moved, bar by bar. Observe how you would have triggered into the trade and how you would have managed the trade. Practice, replay, practice. Any elite performer will tell you what is most important in becoming elite : dedication and practice.
Let's replay a a trend continuation trade in the British Pound that was triggered at 10:30 PM PST February 3rd.
The 10:15 bar shows the stochastic just barely reaching below the oversold line. It is at this point that we apply the regression trend channel.
The very next bar triggers us long. Pay attention to the risk (your entry minus your stop level) VS. potential reward (the profit target minus the trigger point).
The trade plays out in 7 bars (1 hour 45 minutes) and the target is reached.
I encourage you all to use the bar replay tool. Think of it as Monday morning film review with the team.
